Ai+ Launches NovaFlip 5G at Rs. 29,999, Introducing India’s Most Affordable Flip Smartphone
Ai+ Smartphone has launched the NovaFlip 5G at Rs. 29,999, making it India’s first flip smartphone priced below Rs. 30,000. Featuring a Dimensity 7300X chipset, 50MP rear camera, 32MP autofocus selfie camera, dual AMOLED displays, Android 15-based NxtQuantum OS, and 5G connectivity, the device aims to make foldable technology accessible to Indian consumers.
Introduced at a launch price of Rs. 29,999, the Ai+ NovaFlip 5G combines a compact flip design with flagship-style specifications, including a 50MP rear camera, a 32MP autofocus front camera, MediaTek Dimensity 7300X chipset, dual AMOLED displays, and Android 15-based NxtQuantum OS.
The company said the launch reflects its strategy to make foldable smartphones more accessible to Indian consumers without compromising on design, performance, or functionality.
Madhav Sheth, Chief Executive Officer of Ai+ Smartphone and Founder of NxtQuantum Shift Technologies, described the device as a “category shift” in the Indian smartphone market.
He said flip smartphones had remained aspirational products for consumers due to high pricing, adding that the NovaFlip 5G was designed to remove that barrier by combining premium design with practical performance at a more accessible price point.
The launch follows strong demand for the company’s Nova 2 series smartphones, with the Nova 2 and Nova 2 Ultra reportedly selling out shortly after release, strengthening the company’s position in the expanding Indian smartphone ecosystem.
The Ai+ NovaFlip 5G features a 50MP primary rear camera and a 32MP front-facing autofocus camera aimed at users focused on content creation and mobile photography. The company stated that the device is designed to deliver detailed and natural images across different lighting conditions while supporting flexible shooting modes in both folded and unfolded positions.
Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 7300X processor paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The smartphone runs on Android 15 integrated with NxtQuantum OS, which the company describes as India’s first sovereign mobile operating system.
The smartphone includes a 6.9-inch Full HD+ AMOLED inner display and a 3.0-inch AMOLED cover screen, allowing users to access notifications, controls, and quick interactions without unfolding the device.
Ai+ said the NovaFlip 5G has been designed to balance portability and usability. The device weighs 193 grams and supports features including a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, dual SIM support with 5G+5G connectivity, NFC, tri-band Wi-Fi 6, and a flip-aware user interface powered by a hall sensor.
The folded dimensions of the smartphone measure 87.3×76×15.6mm, while the unfolded dimensions are 169.4×76×7.5mm.
The NovaFlip 5G is equipped with a 4325mAh battery that the company claims can deliver up to 310 hours of 5G standby time and 19.5 hours of Voice over New Radio talk time. The smartphone supports 33W fast charging through USB Type-C with PD3.0 and PPS compatibility.
Ai+ confirmed that the NovaFlip 5G will go on sale from May 8, 2026, at 12 PM exclusively through Flipkart.
Alongside the NovaFlip 5G, the company also highlighted other products in its portfolio, including the Ai+ Pulse 2 priced at Rs. 7,999, the Ai+ Nova 2 5G at Rs. 9,999, the Ai+ Nova 2 Ultra 5G at Rs. 14,999, and the Ai+ PulseTab at Rs. 9,999. The company said the prices are linked to the Flipkart Big Saving Days Sale beginning May 8.
The retail package of the NovaFlip 5G includes the smartphone, a 33W fast charger, USB Type-C cable, protective case, protective case installation guide, SIM ejector tool, warranty card, and user manual with quick start guide.
Ai+ Smartphone described itself as an India-based next-generation technology brand focused on delivering high-performance smartphones and connected ecosystem products powered by NxtQuantum OS. The company said its products are built around privacy-focused architecture, clean software design, long battery life, and accessible pricing.
NxtQuantum Shift Technologies, founded by Madhav Sheth, stated that it is focused on developing secure and sovereign digital platforms, including NxtQuantum OS, with the objective of building globally competitive technology authored in India.
